Your data is backed up over a secure 128 bit SSL (Secure Socket Layer) and when it reaches our servers it’s encrypted using 448 bit Blowfish encryption.

Bandwidth Costs in South Africa are very high. Surely this adds extra costs to my monthly bandwidth costs?

We have implemented two remedies to combat the high bandwidth cost:

1. All your daily backups are incremental. Only the data that has changed will be transferred to the servers. Example. You have an Excel document that has graphs and is very large (Let’s say 5MB) and all you do is add one text cell to your spreadsheet. On the next daily backup only that one text cell will be updated NOT the entire 5MB file
2. For your first backup, AgeTech can either arrange to collect your data personally or arrange a courier service if you are out of our service coverage. This saves you from making that initial backup which can easily be over 1GB of data
